Should Cis People have the Same Rights as Everyone Else?
The public needs a respectful debate about whether cis people should be allowed the same freedoms and privileges as normal people. Although this topic can be divisive it is essential that we are able to hear from all sides on this issue, and that no one is silenced by (sometimes violent) cis rights activists.
Cis people have been in the news a lot recently. A vocal minority of cis people are demanding that they be extended special rights — rights that activists say would just grant them equality, but many members of the public have valid concerns that that is not the case.
Some cis people believe that there is growing support for a cis rights movement that would see radical changes to how society works today.
But a new poll conducted on a representative group of members of the public has just been released that paints a different picture. Whilst nearly a third of people support the idea that schools should be allowed to acknowledge that cis people exist, some of the more controversial special rights that cis people are asking for, like being allowed to drive or forcing doctors to give them life saving treatment, still have much public opposition.
“How is a child of 17 supposed to know if they are cis or not?” writes Tanya Smith GCSE, CEO of Fair Play For Normal People “Most kids that age don’t even know what they want to do at university, let alone make long lasting decisions about their body. That is why we support Cis Critical Therapy, which is very different from Conversion Therapy”. Cis Critical Therapy is where a child is gently pointed in the direction of medical transition with a combination of isolation, enforced gender stereotypes and electroshock therapy.
Silencing
The debate around cis rights has been heated to say the least, and has even gone as far as cis people attacking women just for disagreeing. Not one media outlet has been able to stand up to the pressure from the woke brigade to publish the results of this poll. Many people believe that such an unbiased poll represents a silent majority, but that people are afraid to speak out.
We have reached out to the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and others who are usually happy to host debates to see if they would have a panel to discuss cis rights, but as yet not one has stepped up. Likely because of fears of violent cancelling by cis people who cannot handle disagreement.
But it is not all cis people that are so demanding. Many are now speaking out against the behaviour of the vocal activists “Gone are the days when cissexuals such as myself were able to hide from society to not upset normal people, thanks to Cis Rights Activists. They are loud but they do not speak for all of us. Many of us welcome the healthy debate over our futures.” says Robert Galbraith, a cis person.
Fair Debate
All we ask is that public debate not be shut down. While it is vital to respect cis people and their wishes, we cannot let them silence the concerns of many. It is not “cisphobic” to ask questions, freedom of speech is vital for democracy.
