A List Of Unambiguously Transphobic Mainstream Gender Critical Positions

A lot of the argument about GC transphobia revolves around who is a “real woman”, but that’s uninteresting compared to their policies

Here are a list of mainstream “Gender Critical” beliefs and positions that are unambiguously transphobic:

1. Wanting to ban trans women and girls from the women’s spaces that they use today for protection against the misogynistic sexism they face
2. Wanting to ban internationally recommended healthcare for trans children or adults
3. Wanting to shut down trans healthcare providers
4. Wanting to prevent trans healthcare reform, the NHS is broken for trans people
5. Opposing a conversion therapy ban for trans children or adults. Conversion therapy is torture
6. Denying the decades of science we have that shows being trans is something you’re born. It’s not a choice, it’s not a reaction to sexism, it’s not because of abuse
7. Wanting trans people to have to go through a ridiculous multi year document process in order to get married or die with dignity (the current GRA) when a passport should be good enough
8. Claiming that being trans is a fetish or motivated by sex
9. Wanting to “eliminate” trans people, “morally mandate them out of existence” or comparing them to parasites (actual quotes from prominent GC people)
10. Hosting an event to discuss trans rights without a single one of the participants in the discussion being trans
11. Claiming that trans children simply don’t exist
12. Claiming that being trans is a mental illness
13. Refusing to use trans people’s names
14. Calling trans healthcare “mutilation”

I’ll stop calling #GenderCritical people #transphobic when the majority of them stop holding plainly transphobic views. Maybe you disagree with every belief on this list, if so what makes you GC? If not then how can you possibly claim to not hold transphobic views?
